Comme la serrure mécanique est équipée d'un pêne de jour et que l'ouvre-porte électrique est équipé d'une lèvre ANSI spéciale, le pêne de jour ne peut pas être repoussé lorsque la porte est verrouillée (pour ne pas "basculer"). Cet ouvre-porte est donc conforme aux directives de certification de la sécurité de la police pour les portes d'accès aux zones communes.
