De pomp kan niet gebruikt worden voor het verpompen van agressieve detergenten (zoals bijtende soda, waterstofperoxide, …). Pomp niet laten droogdraaien, maar eerst opgieten met vloeistof, daarna werkt de pomp zelfaanzuigend.
