Geruime tijd van zijn leven, zowel voor als na 1917, heeft hij buiten Rusland doorgebracht. In de laatste jaren van zijn leven publiceerde hij voornamelijk autobiografisch werk, zoals de in dit boek bijeengebrachte, op persoonlijke herinneringen gebaseerde literaire portretten van Anton Tsjechov, Lev Tolstoj, Leonid Andrejev, Vladimir Korolenko, Aleksandr Blok, Sergej Jesenin en vele anderen. De uitspraak: 'Ik ben op aarde gekomen om het er niet mee eens te zijn' typeert treffend een van de meest fundamentele trekken in Gorki's karakter. Met dit devies wordt tevens een belangrijk facet van zijn portretkunst geïllustreerd: zijn vermogen om de legende van de werkelijkheid te onderscheiden en zijn portretgestalten in hun grootsheid te herscheppen naar de conceptie die hij ontwikkelt.

i would definitely recommend. stick with your regular size or size up for a less slim fit

I usually wear a medium, I ordered a small based on reading the reviews. I am 150lbs 5’4”. this coat fits great for me personally. it’s not bulky, it’s not baggy. it is a slim fit jacket, definitely more on the slender side. when i raise my arms above my head , the sleeves do come up a bit. I would suggest sticking to your normal size or if you want a less slim fit with a tiny bit more room, sizing up wouldn’t be an issue. the coat is super soft and has some weight to it. i would recommend this jacket, it is warm and a nice piece for formal attire.

Black mens coat

Has shoulder pads.
The jacket has shoulder pads that don't necessarily show on the image in the purchase area. Pretty pronounced so if that's not your thing definitely stay away. Got lucky and it doesn't look too bad on me but it took so long to receive the package I don't feel like going through the refund process so I'm dealing with it. Quality is great tho
