The frame has a farmhouse feel to it, with a distressed, unfinished feel. The matt paint has been applied and then removed in places to give a stunning effect. The muted purple and beige colours contrast beautifully with the white and the overall effect is extremely attractive. The glass fronts on the apertures give lots of protection to the precious photographs inside.

The photographs are easily put into the frame by taking off the individual aperture backboards and then fastening them securely back into place using the folding metal tabs. There is a single serrated, metal crossbar on the back of the frame on which it hangs and because there are teeth on the bar, the frame is easy to hang straight.
